Terms
Last updated 23 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Taskgrove at taskgrove.app. By creating an account, you agree to them. Taskgrove is a Yalintech product, and you can reach us at support@yalintech.com.
A note on what this document is.It is short on purpose, and it has not been through a lawyer’s review. Nothing is charged for Taskgrove today, so a long contract full of clauses about payment, service levels and liability would describe a product that does not exist. Before Taskgrove charges anyone, a fuller agreement will be published here.
What Taskgrove is
A shared task board for small teams: workspaces hold boards, boards hold lists, lists hold cards, and cards hold descriptions, checklists and comments. It is in early access, which is a statement about its maturity rather than a marketing word — features change, and some of the things a mature product has are not built yet. The privacy page lists the gaps that affect your data specifically.
Nothing is charged. There is no payment path in the product at all — no card to enter, no plan to cancel, no invoice. Paid plans are intended, and nothing here should be read as a promise that Taskgrove stays free of charge. If that changes, you will be asked before anything is charged to you.
Your account
- You need a working email address. We send you a verification message, and until you verify it you cannot create a workspace.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your password and any API tokens to yourself.
- One person, one account. Please do not share logins.
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. Taskgrove is not for children under 13.
Acceptable use
Use Taskgrove to run your work. Do not use it to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- store or distribute malware, or material that is illegal to possess;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, including other members of your own workspace;
- infringe somebody else’s copyright, trade marks or confidential information;
- attack the service — probing for vulnerabilities, bypassing the security rules, flooding it with automated traffic, or trying to reach another customer’s workspace;
- impersonate anybody, or use an invitation that was issued to somebody else;
- resell Taskgrove, or run it as a service for others, without our agreement.
Automated use is fine within reason. The product enforces a per-account call rate limit and a per-workspace write rate limit; if you trip one, writes are refused until the rate drops. Please do not engineer around them. If you find a security flaw, tell us at support@yalintech.com rather than exploring it — we would much rather have the report.
Your account and your content are yours
Everything you put on a board — card titles, descriptions, checklists, comments, board and list names, labels — belongs to you, or to whoever you got it from. We claim no ownership of it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, cache and back it up, transmit it to the other members of your workspace, and display it back to you. We do not use your content to train machine-learning models, and we do not use it for advertising.
You are responsible for having the right to put your content here. One consequence of a shared board worth stating plainly: if you join a workspace somebody else owns, what you write there is part of their working record, and they control what happens to it.
Workspace roles are owner, admin, member and observer. Owners and admins invite people and manage the workspace, members edit boards, and observers read. Invitations are tied to one email address and expire after 14 days, and the admin sends the invitation link themselves because the product does not email one.
The service is provided as-is
We try to keep Taskgrove up and working. We do not promise that it will be. There is no uptime commitment and no service credit, and features may change or be withdrawn while the product is in early access.
- Cards, lists and boards you delete go to Trash and can be restored for 30 days. After that a scheduled job removes them permanently, and that is not reversible.
- The database has point-in-time recovery with a seven-day window, which protects against our mistakes — a bad deploy, a faulty migration. It is not a personal backup service and it does not undo a deletion you made on purpose.
Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. That is a genuine request rather than a disclaimer: this is early-access software offered free of charge, and it should not be the only place something important exists. Your account → Your data will hand you one, as a JSON file, whenever you ask — the request used to be one we made without giving you a way to act on it, and that is no longer the case.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable-use section above, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where it is safe and practical to do so, we will tell you what happened and give you a chance to put it right first; where something is actively harmful we may act immediately and explain afterwards.
Closing your account
You can stop using Taskgrove at any time. There is nothing to cancel, because there is nothing to pay. To delete your account, use Your account → Delete account: it runs immediately and cannot be undone. If you are the only owner of a workspace other people are in, the control refuses and names those workspaces, so that deleting your account cannot strand their work. Anything already in Trash is purged on the usual 30-day schedule. Take a copy before you delete, not after: Your account → Your data → Prepare my export gives you a single JSON file with what we hold for you, in one click. If your account is large enough that one file cannot carry it, the control refuses and says so rather than handing you a shortened one — email support@yalintech.com and we will assemble it another way. Content you wrote inside a workspace somebody else owns is part of their record and is not in your export, and the privacy page explains both how we handle that and exactly what the export contains.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If we do, we will update the date at the top, and a material change will be described on this page rather than quietly folded in. Taskgrove sends no email, so this page is the notice. Continuing to use the product after a change means you accept it.
